FIREWOOD FACTS RULES AND ADVICE

FIREWOOD ON THE FLOWAGE

1. Don't bring firewood from more than 50 miles away from the Chippewa Flowage with you... help us protect our trees.
2. Don't collect driftwood on the Flowage for burning or to take home... you are disturbing an important biosphere.
3. Don't cut living or standing dead wood.
4. It is better to purchase firewood from local sources than to clear the island of their downed dead wood.
5. Think ahead and if you have extra wood when you are finished leave it for others that follow you.
